Is there a silver bullet for success on LinkedIn?

July 30, 2025

Everywhere I go I get asked about the silver bullet for success when it comes to LinkedIn.

😔 I’m sorry to tell you that the LinkedIn silver bullet is a myth.

Let’s get this out of the way:

There is no cheat sheet for LinkedIn success.

No perfect post time. No magic format. No algorithm hack that will suddenly turn views into revenue.

And here’s what’s even better:

LinkedIn just made that official. The algorithm change has taken a huge leap towards relevancy.

With the latest update, the platform has shifted from surface-level metrics. That dopamine hit we’ve learnt to chase of likes, impressions, comments is no more.

So I say this with love, STOP chasing likes, comments and trying to gamify the algorithm. You will wear yourself out.

⚠️ LinkedIn’s moved on.

It is now all about relevancy - and what actually matters:

Relevancy. Relationships. And long-game credibility.

Your content is getting seen by the right people. That’s why you’re seeing posts that are 2 - 3 weeks old.

They’re not just tracking how many people reacted to your post. They’re now tracking:

🙂 Who followed you after seeing your content

🙂 Who viewed your profile

🙂 Who engaged in a way that suggests they’re paying attention and not just passing through.

Which is exactly what I’ve been saying for years. If you’ve worked with me, you already know:

I don’t care if your post goes viral.  I care if it gets you seen by the right people,  in the right rooms,  with the right message.

Because likes don’t pay the bills. Visibility without strategy is just noise (remember that posting 4 times a day malarkey 🤯)

(PS: I wrote about this in more depth back in March 2024 → Going viral isn’t what you think)

SO what should you focus on now?

Your profile

Because that’s what LinkedIn is now rewarding.

👉 The algorithm is prioritising profile views, relevance, and community signal.

Which means the most important thing you can do today, before your next post, before your next pitch, is make sure your profile actually holds weight.

A good profile makes you memorable. It turns casual scrollers into warm leads. It builds trust before you even speak.

And now more than ever, it determines whether you’re seen as a creator or just another account passing through.

And yes, I’ve been saying this for years too:

✅The most important metric to check every week is your profile views.

🚩 If they’re in decline, that’s a red flag. Time to tweak, not disappear.

If you don’t know where to start:

I’ve got a couple of Profile Transform sessions available before September - still at £595. From September, the price goes up to £750.

Limited spots (summer juggle life is real), and I want to give each profile the deep focus it deserves.

Inside Transform, we rewrite your profile for strategy, searchability, and positioning that actually lands.

One of my latest clients had an ideal charity reach out about an NED role within 48 hours of completing their Transform session.

If you want that kind of momentum, this is where we start. Book Transform directly here:
